It was a quick and quiet 7 days exploring the frontier. The weather was fluctuating wildly. The Snow from the previous week, melted. The Skys were grey until they were not. Work was quick and clean. The days moved like a race car flying around a track. A holiday, Thanksgiving, was upon us.
I usually don’t participate with holidays, I take them as a moment to relax. I poured a lot of coffee, ate simple food, went for walks. It was great to enjoy things while most people were caught up preparing to be annoyed by loved ones and/or enjoy their company.
With autumn slowly coming to a close for the year, there were still leaves on the ground. Walking through the forest, was still an interesting experience especially after a huge amount of rain. With petrichor in the air, it was a nice time to explore some photography ideas in the quiet.
I got a new coffee tool, a stovetop espresso maker. I have not had one in a while so it was great to make a different cup of coffee. Exploring these moments with my lens is always fun as well. It helps the weekend end calmly and prepared me for the onslaught of the week.
With piano playing, I thought about how much I enjoyed my break from everything. It was nice to work out some ideas with no interruptions. Clear some thoughts. Drink some more coffee, not think about what others think is important. The feeling in the air continues to be tense. It would be easy to get caught up in the madness. Instead, I choose photo-meditation and calm.
