Again, it was not a quiet week, exploring the frontier around New Jersey.
It was still the beginning of summer, and the weather was beautiful. The morning was cool enough to go on a few walks, and the day’s temperatures were not oppressive. There was not a lot of rain as I moved through the state to complete a few tasks and get some camera work done.
C is for coffee, and it would have been an impossible week, exploring the frontier, without it and a towel.
As the season started to change, the weather started to become a little erratic. The end of spring, filled with sunshine and rain, had me traveling in many different directions. With this, I got to explore my photography in a few new was and see familiar vistas from different perspectives. (more…)
It was a busy week exploring the frontier here in New Jersey and a bit of New York.
Spring was still showing its colors as the temperatures continued to, slowly, rise. Everything around me seemed to be calm, but actually, it was hectic. There are lots of future projects and task ahead of me, and it was time to prepare for some of them.
It has been an interesting time exploring the frontier, here in New Jersey.
Spring is in full swing. The weather has been weird, and work and camera work has also been a little erratic. So, this weather seems to have a fascinating effect on my photography. It is why I always enjoy this time of year.
On May 14, my Day job gave me the task of covering a customer forum at Hoboken Terminal, in Hoboken New Jersey. The event was scheduled to last a few hours on a sunny, warm, spring afternoon. The goal was to capture the interactions of the staff and customers for corporate communications and social media.
Having favorite lens is comforting. When it’s used, you know what results you are going to get. This makes camera work more efficient. Having to give up a lens like that hurts…
While switching from Nikon to Sony, I thought I was going to have to give up a few of my favorite lenses. I tried to use them with a Metabones Nikon G to E-mount/NEX adapter, however. I never got all the results I wanted.
It was a frozen week in an area that sometimes handles the cold well. The first week of 2018, exploring the frontier. the temps were so cold. In my part of New Jersey, if hot cups of coffee or some other warm drink were not available, hearts would break. So that’s How I began my photography for the year, with a cup of coffee. Looking at the upcoming weather, I knew the week had the possibility of some interesting camera work.
