Nikon 85mm f1.8D: Portrait Spirit , Covert Wanderer

Post We35 I have been exploring my 85mm lens again applying what I have learned in the research project. I had to do a portrait so I pulled out my standard portrait lens, the Nikon 85mm f1.8D. It is a simple and elegant piece of glass with a storied history. When I was done I left  on and used it in my everyday photography, for a few days. The lens is not what I have become used to so it was a fun challenge. The snow that Came in helped just because it’s practical for portrait does not mean it’s not Flexible. All things considered, its was not a bad refresher.

One of the things I did, with my 85mm lens, create a frame of a potato. Yes, yes it does sound silly but when I get a challenge from The Fellowship I take it.

While not as wide as I become used, wandering around with an 85mm lens does have its uses. Its compression is always nice no matter the subject.

It was easy to get the hang of this lens again. I won’t uses it a lot for photowandering though, I just enjoy my 35mm too much. Portrait Spirit covert wanderer-20160202-6959

It was fun using this lens again, like this.
