Monday Coffee Thingy: sipping Brooklyn Roasting companies 2020-2021 Winter blend.

In these work from home times, I can’t get through my Monday morning, hell most mornings without a good cup of coffee and a bit of photography.

This Monday morning, I brewed Brooklyn Roasting companies 2020-2021 Winter blend. This coffee is an interesting one. I usually don’t go for a darker roast. On a whim, I decided to give this one a try. I used my Chemex to brew this morning cup with a ratio of 3 tablespoons for every 1 cup of water at about 195 degrees. This coffee brews better at a slightly lower temp.

As described on its packaging, the 2020-2021 Winter blend did have notes of burnt pancake and maple, in a good way. It was a medium-dark roast of South American and Sumatra coffees. Full-bodied in its taste it goes better with a little cream. It took me a few tries to dial this coffee in, but I was worth it.
