This week, the first section of NJ TRANSIT and Amtrak’s new Portal North Bridge was transported from the Port of Coeymans, traveling down the Hudson River. I, along with others from NJ TRANSIT, had the privilege of documenting this journey until it reached its final destination, where it will be lifted into place at the construction site of the Portal North Bridge.

I used two cameras for this assignment: my Sony a6700 with a 150-500mm lens and my Sony A7C with a 24-240mm lens. Over the three days I tracked the arch, this combination was ideal. No matter where I was, I was able to capture excellent views of the arch during its journey.
