The #we35 Groot Accord part 3-In a daze because I still find it cold

Winter has passed but the weather still wants t0 stay cold. The spring is sauntering in, taking it sweet old time pushing the chilly weather out. Groot is searching high and low for signs that his alien cousins are waking up. At least most of the snow was gone and there was some sun to be seen.

This is the third of a series of Groot Toy photography surveys at 35 mm between Chris Nitz and myself for the We35 research project

Location South Mountain Reservation

Instruments Sony A7 + 35mm Fe x UltraPod II /Nitz Strap

#PhotoWandering: Spending a Bit of Time with Friends

The one thing that I know in my photography life is Photo-wandering happens. I can’t help myself at times especially when I’m with photog friends in New York. Any day when I have a bit of free time and the chance to wander around with a camera is a good day. This is true even if someone decides to walk us through Times Square.After_BandH-20150316-10.jpg

#Coffeealude: Sampling Copper Horse Coffee Toarco Jaya

Trying new coffee is always fun. Unlike my photography, where I mainly use cameras from one or two companies , I get to drink coffee from a variety of different small businesses. While I have my favorites I have being trying to branch out to explore new flavors. At Coffee Con 15 I acquired a few samples. When I got them home I put them in proper storage and started going through them. I’ll post notes on all of the samples till I run out. If you are a coffee roaster and want to send me a sample, drop me a message.

I did not really get a lot of notes of the Copper Horse Coffee Toarco Jaya
before I sampled it. I did have and few ounces of it at CoffeeCon15, but that was not enough to really judge it. They gave me a sample so I could get a proper taste it later.

Ludicrously PhotoWandering Before CoffeeCon 15

Last week we had a snow fall on top of the previous snows we had. It was then followed by smegging cold air, making March feel like January. Winter was supposed to be over however it did not want to let go, just yet. So on a cold morning, like the smeghead I am I found myself photo wandering on the way, the long way, to CoffeeCon NYC. What the smeg was I thinking.

Thoughts on CoffeeCon NYC 2015

For a few years now I’ve been trying to attend a CoffeeCon. As most people know I have a ‘thing’ for the caffeinated beverage. I rarely ever do coffee shows and had been wanting to do so for a variety of reasons. So I got a ticket , woke up early on a Saturday morning and started my coffee adventure. The questions to be answered, was the $35 ticked worth it?

A cold ultra quick photowander

It’s was a quiet end to a brutal work week here in New Jersey. My bride thought we should do something a little different to put it behind me.  So I hopped on a train and met her at Watchung Train station in Montclair. My camera was on my wrist so I thought it was a great opportunity to do some quick photowandering in an area I don’t pass through often.

So far on my #we35 path

Today I did not plan to go out and do camera work. I knew it was going to snow and I knew it was going to be a long day. However because its become a way of life, I had my camera. It does not matter which camera I had, it matter that I had it. It made me start thinking about my time so far with the We35 research project.
