I was not an exciting week exploring the frontier here in New Jersey. Winter was coming, and it was colder, but not too bad. It was the week before the Christmas holiday and people, above my pay scale, were trying to get a lot done before they went on vacation. It dictated how my work week went amongst other things.
Press conferences on a Monday are never fun, but that is how the week started. We had to get to the office, quickly gear up and head to another location. Luckily we were providing logistics support and did not have to do much of the setup.
In between events, and other bits of work, I would pick up my Tamron 150-600 telephoto lens. I have not been using it a lot lately, and I felt it was time to try and be creative with it. The idea has been to take a minute to look out my window and find a frame to capture. It has been an interesting experiment.
There one was more press conference to close out the year. It was held in the same place my first event of the year, Summit Train Station here in New Jersey. It’s a challenging space to hold a press conference. The location is just not built for this type of work. It is meant for people to pass through. As uncomfortable as it was it worked out.
The week ended, things went, and it was nice to have a break from the unnecessary chaos. You appreciate the quiet after stupid moments.
As I make my way through the week, I always have my camera in hand sharing the wonders I see. Here is a bit of camera work from the week.
