When . It was a random week exploring the frontier, here in the New Jersey and New York.
The weather , in the land where, at times, sanity seems optional, was proper for this time of year. Heat and humidity reigned. Camera work was a bit erratic. The video mostly, but I did manage to get some personal time.
At the beginning of the week, I found my self traveling to Hoboken Via Summit. After a quick task, I found my self sipping salty espresso in a coffee shop along the Hudson River. After a lot of rain, it seems a little brine made it into the morning water supply.
I was volunteered to do camera work for a diving meet this week. When I was tired. However,I managed to get suitable frames. Its something I’ve never done before. It was interesting.
I did manage to go photo wandering around New York for a couple of days. One day I visited the mall at the Hudson Yards, which is, mostly, empty at 6 am. The next day I wandered around the City with a Sonagar 135mm lens. It is OLD glass I found on the interwebs, had it for some years now. I let it sit on my shelf as a trophy . Pulling it out at my current skill level was eye-opening.
The rest of the week, into the weekend, continued to be irregular. I just traveled around, hitting the shutter where my eye dropped.
These images, from my week of photography, describe to you and explain the light, places, textures, characters I’ve visually observed in my travels. If you can spare a little of your time and share in the wonders, I have seen.
