It was a frozen week in an area that sometimes handles the cold well. The first week of 2018, exploring the frontier. the temps were so cold. In my part of New Jersey, if hot cups of coffee or some other warm drink were not available, hearts would break. So that’s How I began my photography for the year, with a cup of coffee. Looking at the upcoming weather, I knew the week had the possibility of some interesting camera work.
- Sony A7
- Nikkor 50mm 1.8E & 50mm f1.2 AIS on a Meta Bones adapter
- Sony E 55-210mm F4.5-6.3
- Sony 35mm F2.8
This week I was traveling around with a Sony 55-210 e Mount Crop Sensor lens on a Sony A7. It was an interesting experience. It will be nice on the Sony A6300. More on that lens later.
Could Not Feel My Nose
The week did prove to be interesting. The temperatures stayed bitterly cold, and eventually, it snowed. My commutes were freezing and I eventually found myself covering the snow storm, traveling through the New Jersey.
The Snow and the following insanely low temps absorbed the rest of my week. I did not do much else. I did acquire a new camera, though, more on that later.
- MINI SESSIONS WITH A CAUSE
- Businesses That Will Innovate Photography in 2018
- After 4,5 years Sony launches a new APS-C E-mount lens. More to come in 2018…
As I make my way through the week, I always have my camera in hand. Here is a bit of camera work from the week.
