It has been an interesting time exploring the frontier, here in New Jersey.
Spring is in full swing. The weather has been weird, and work and camera work has also been a little erratic. So, this weather seems to have a fascinating effect on my photography. It is why I always enjoy this time of year.
Spring morning always feel like they cast long shadows when the sun is actually out. While riding the bus or waiting for the train, and listening to melodic death metal, its a delight to see the contrast in the light.
Work had me on the railroad for a bit on one of the nicer days of the week. It was enjoyable to work in the sun, not too many people around. There were a few nice moments to be had.
There was a mental health day this week and enjoyed breakfast with the bride. I experimented with some bracketing and HDR photography while waiting for an order at the bakery. Its something I have work on a bit more for future work. I manage to get a decent frame or two.
During this mental health day, I also found myself at a new coffee shop. It was a pleasant place that required some time to get to. I sat there, with a friend, enjoyed a cup and decided I liked the shop.
We had some rain. It left the air smelling of petrichor. With warmer temperatures, these spring showers there was some greening of the grass and early cherry blossoms. On Saturday I found myself caught up just observing them finding them worthy of a few frames.
The weekend ended quietly with excellent bread, soft butter, and calm, not ready for the forthcoming week.
As I make my way through the week, I always have my camera in hand, sharing the wonders I see. Here is a bit of camera work from the week.
