Here on this fall night, I sat here looking back on the past week, exploring the frontier, out here in New Jersey. It had been a busy week. I did a bit of travel, worked a bit and tried to keep a low profile.
The weather this week was getting chillier and hats and heavier jackets were making their first appearances of the season. We were hoping the warm weather would hold on just a bit more, but it was time to let that dream go or move someplace warmer.
The leaves were still falling as they do in autumn and I found my self in Atlantic City New Jersey. I have some forthcoming work there and we had to prepare, get a lay of the land and make a few decisions. When I arrived though, All I could do at first was luxuriate in the quite, look up at the fake flying fish.
There was some not glamorous camera work that needed to be done. Then I was time to move on.
The week turned into the weekend with me being a little sick. I woke up 24 hours later, or so it felt, and I had a delivery. A new lens. I brought a bit of a smile to my face. It’s a 7 Artisan 35mm f1.2, mad for a crop sensor and so far its been a joy to use. I am enjoying the images I am producing so far.
On the other hand, I finally got a moment to test out another purchase. The fake Yashica from Kickstarter, mistakes were made. However, I have some thinking to do. There may be some lemonade to make with this lemon.
As I make my way through the week, I always have my camera in hand sharing the wonders I see. Here is a bit of camera work from the week.
