It has been a quiet week out here in New Jersey exploring the frontier. The weather has been cold, we have had a normal-ish winter landscape. There were a couple of light snows, and this has looked like they belong in a book about New England. The air was cold, but there was enough sun to bring people out to enjoy the season. I was inside drinking coffee when not working.
While people were shopping for their Christmas gifts, driving to and fro, spending copious amounts of money, I decided to just avoid it all. I find Christmas music, constantly on repeat annoying and sought the solitude of a cold forest. I find a snowy winter river usually warmer than the hearts of some people trying to find last-minute gifts for people.
As part of this year’s we35 project #exploringthefrontier we decided to hashtag our non-research as #We35shenanigans. I have been posting the images on my Instagram account. Here are some edited for my entertainment.
