What a week it was, out here exploring the frontier, out here in New Jersey and New York. When Monday rolled around, I knew I would not have a chance to photo wander. Between the unscheduled construction, summer weather and summer work schedule, there were things to do, rain to avoid. Little joy, but I carried on.
Raindrops fell on my head a bit. This left time just for coffee. I have been walking with my circular polarizer on my lenses more and this week it came in handy.
As soon as I thought there would be time to photo wander the nightly construction began screwing up my whole schedule. My town was replacing the water valves for the neighborhood. I had to wake up in the mornings and flush the pipes before the family woke up. It was my domestic geek duty.
I did have a day to walk in the city with my friend Scott. We were in the city to see the ‘Beautiful Together’ gallery by Tamara Lackey. It was not photo wandering because we had a specific location to reach, however, I did get some photography along the way.
I was a journey through time and space that left me needing to decompress away from people, in a forest.
As part of this year’s we35 project #exploringthefrontier we decided to hashtag our non-research as #we35shenanigans. I have been posting the images on my Instagram account but here are some of them, edited, for my entertainment.
