The summer has ended. I sit here looking at the last bit of photo wandering for the season. This was a group walk with friends and fellow photogs. I was invited by my good friend and Everyday Photographer Scott Wyden to take part in an NYC Photo Day with James Maher and his guest Darlene Hilderandt. We could not ask for a better day. The sun hung brightly in the sky without melting us. New York had a slight pleasant breeze. We could not ask for a better day.
Scott and I met up at Port Authority Bus Terminal. From there we took the subway, and the end of rush hour, to the group. We all met, exchanges pleasantries and we walked. James, our extrodinary guide had a route planned out for us that gave us a lot see and explore with our eyes. We walked though SoHo, the City Hall District and China Town and eventually made our way to the Manhattan Bridge.
It’s turned out to be a fascinating day. A few of us shared a meal afterwords, talked about our experience and left with lots of great memories and images.
My Photowandering has not ended either, I am done with it being seasonal. I will photo wander, when I can from now on. There I places I did not visit over the summer that just may look fantastic in other seasons. If you ever want to explore the New York with James , you can find out more about his workshops here.
