Me and you, someone’s mama and their cousin too, probably knew about the train issues in New Jersey and New York. The new made it sound like the area was going to descend to in a pit of hell. It was the first week of repair work at Penn Station New York, and it completely changed my work schedule. It did not wreck my life though. Instead of waking up early and catching a train to New York, I started my work day at 4:45 am and when I had a moment I would walk with my camera.
Here in this summer week, it turned out to be quieter than expected. It was a beautiful thing. Nature made a serious attempt to give us mostly good weather and despite all the stress, it kept things a little calm. This gave me time to photo wander around my work locations in Hoboken New Jersey and Manhattan.
I rode the ferry to the city a few times traveling to different locations each time. I made my way through the streets of Manhattan when I could watching peoples lives unfold before me. Over all the whole week could have gone sideways but instead, it just happened, and it was over.
… walking with my camera, I like to get lost. I make my way , wandering aimlessly and share the wonders I’ve seen. I try to make it back before the start of the work day, most times I succeed.
