It was a quiet yet humid morning and I was ready to explore the frontier some more. Even though my job has been trying to be the screen door on my summer, I’ve worked hard to find time to photo wander. The rain had just ended. New York Beckoned and so did the discordant mess of a lens I was using.
I had the urge so work with a different lens lately so I pulled out my rarely used and challenging Songar 35mm f2.8. It’s and old adapted lens I use on my Sony A7. It’s a pain to use but when you get a good frame with the Sonagar it feels worth it. Especially making my way around Rockefeller center and the surrounding area. A few people think I am a little crazy for using this old lens. Yes, Yes I am, it’s all about the fun and the craft though. Anything goes.
I also felt like I need to find and look a sculpture this morning. This is what led me in the direction I walked. I knew there were things I still have not seen in the museum areas of New York. I found satisfaction.
… walking with my camera, I like to get lost. I make my way, wandering aimlessly and share the wonders I’ve seen. I try to make it back before the start of the work day, most times I succeed.
