It was a bright morning in a city I always find interesting. New York was quiet when I got there. I was tired and needed a cup of coffee. I had been overdoing a bit lately and not sleeping a lot. It had been catching up to me, so I decided to make it a short walk.
I was thinking big, as in wide angle lens on this morning. The Sony A7III was in my hand. Its a camera I don’t photo wander with often. I started with my kit lens, the Sony 28-70, but when I got near the Flatiron building I put on the Laowa 15mm f/4 Wide Angle Macro. Its a lens I rarely photo wander with. It was an interesting experience on the A7III.
Working with a wide angle lens in the big city is fascinating. With it being light out I kept the lens between f8 and f11 and experimented as I walked.
The Laowa 15mm f/4 Wide Angle Macro required a little more time to actually compose a frame. It was worth it. Working with the lens on a slow morning was delightful. If the city was busier I would have enjoyed it less.
For some it seems senseless , me wandering around , taking photos. It’s something I really enjoy. Here are the frames from my latest bit of photo wandering.
