I woke up with stuff distracting my grey matter. I did not look at the weather. It was a rainy morning. This is an epic time for photography in New York of you are prepared. I was not.
The streets were glistening as the lite rains passed through. People were ducking and weaving through the raindrops. In the early morning there were not a lot of vehicles out. I could just stand in the streets and capture frames.
If you have never walked in New York in the rain, with a camera, you should. It’s a unique experience. It’s one of the few times I use an auto focus lens though.
There is just so much to capture if you are willing to get wet while looking.
I was unprepared though and ended up on a bus as the rain got a bit uncomfortable I did not want to be soaked before work.
I ended up in Hoboken a little drier and seeking coffee.
I did not follow my own personal rules and check the weather but I still managed a bit of morning fun.
