PhotoFu Is evolving, but I would like it to be Photography skill cultivated through long and hard work. As in anything practice is an imperative element in PhotoFu training. Willingness to gain knowledge of and integrate different art and photography philosophies is an unconditional absolute. An additional concept I would like to be part of PhotoFu is the notion that involves knowing when to take action and when not to take action while also allowing natural action. Thus knowing when (and how) to act is not knowledge in the sense that one would think “now” is the right time to do “this“, but rather just doing it, doing the natural thing, in other words “action without action” or “effortless doing”.
Wabi-Sabi or and aesthetic centered on the acceptance of transience is something else that I would like to incorporate into PhotoFu . Characteristics of the wabi-sabi aesthetic include asymmetry, asperity, simplicity, modesty, intimacy, and the suggestion of natural processes.
Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There’s a crack in everything
That’s how the light gets in.
