Despite its age it has served me well, new lenses do not create the best frames. My Nikon is an old workhorse. It is the predecessor to the 24-70 2.8s. It does not have vibration control. It’s push-pull zoom I bought used from eBay and when I got it, finally had it in my hand, it felt right, like my other Nikon D lenses. It is the Y-Wing of Lenses, the Nikon 35-70 2.8 D is easily overshadowed by its newer shiner successors but for me, it’s just fine. Taking it out in my travels was an interesting experience.
In my post we35 days and after some time with my 85 mm I put the Nikon 35-70 f2.8d on my camera. I had to do some camera work in a wretched hive of horrible light and villainy, New York Penn Station. This lead to me just keeping on my camera as I went about my work.
My week was basically boring, going from one place to another. Occasionally thought there was a good snack or two.
Completing a bit of experimentation finished off this session with the lens.
I will be using this lens in times of crappy light when I need my Y-Wings Functionality, I will use this lens till it breaks. It is keeping me from wanting a 24-70 2.8.
